For 16 years, healthcare has meant working alongside people who show up every day to care for patients in environments that can change in seconds. In the emergency department, normal operations can already feel like controlled chaos—and yet teams save lives every day.

That experience is the foundation of Smiths Hospital PAI. If emerging technology can help healthcare teams do more good and save more lives, hospitals should be able to pursue that opportunity. But innovation should be introduced with preparation, safety, resilience, and the people doing the work at the center.

Smiths Hospital PAI is being developed to help frame that preparedness conversation as Physical AI, robotics, autonomous systems, and other advanced technologies move closer to everyday hospital operations.
